Create. Explore. Learn at your own pace.
Make something that matters to you.
Art doesn’t always begin with a lesson.
Sometimes it begins with a character you’ve been drawing for years.
A game world you want to bring to life.
A painting you’ve started but don’t know how to finish.
A sketchbook full of ideas.
Or simply the feeling that you want to make something.
We do not believe in putting everyone through the same course, we work with your interests, your ideas and your way of learning.
You bring the curiosity. We will help you turn it into something memorable..
Together, we can work on:
- Drawing and illustration
- Painting and traditional media
- Digital art
- Mixed media and experimentation
- Character and concept art
- Creative projects
- Portfolio development
- Building artistic confidence
- Exploring new techniques and materials
You don’t need to arrive with a finished plan.
An idea, an interest, a favourite artist, a sketch, or even “I don’t know what I want to make yet” is enough to get started.
We have supplied lots of information for you, so you can make an informed choice, but if you want to skip ahead that is ok too! It is your journey!
One-to-One Visual Arts Tutelage
Regular sessions with a dedicated tutor, working collaboratively on your interests and projects.
Sessions can be used to:
Learn: Develop new artistic and technical skills.
Create: Work on projects that are meaningful and motivating to you.
Explore: Try different media, techniques and creative approaches.
Develop: Build a portfolio and a body of work over time.
Connect: Have someone to share ideas with, ask questions and receive constructive feedback from.
Work at Your Own Pace
Some people learn best by following a structured programme, whereas others need to experiment, and discover what works for them.
At DoodleHaus we support all learner types.
There is no pressure to rush through a syllabus or complete a project simply because the lesson has ended. The aim is to create an environment where curiosity can lead the learning.
What Could We Make Together?
Your project could be anything from a series of drawings to a digital illustration, painting, character design, comic, portfolio or completely new creative experiment.
And if you don’t have a project yet, that’s okay.
We can start by discovering what you’re interested in.
Who Is It For?
Visual Arts Tutelage is suitable for:
Beginners: Start exploring art in a supportive environment without needing previous experience.
Developing artists: Strengthen your skills and receive feedback as your practice grows.
Young creatives: Use existing interests and passions as a starting point for creative learning.
Portfolio students: Develop a body of work and receive individual guidance.
Anyone who wants to create: There doesn’t have to be a career goal. Sometimes making art is the goal.
A Different Kind of Art Lesson
At DoodleHaus, the finished artwork isn’t the only measure of success.
Learning how to start a project, solve a creative problem, communicate an idea, persist when something doesn’t work, and discover what you enjoy are all part of the process.
The goal isn’t to make everyone the same kind of artist.
It’s to help each person discover what they can create.
